catalogue debts!! advice needed!
« on: Mar 07, 2010, 06:19:20 PM »
What are the laws on catalogue debts?I've got some debt with a mail order catalogue, and i last heard from them 5 years ago. they have added over £500 interest charges onto it!
i sent a request for a copy of the signed credit agreement and of all transactions ectect, i got a reply saying they don't have to have a signed agreement and they sent me a "true copy" of a credit agreement :S
if I'm not mistaken, this debt cannot be enforced?

This may be a UEF or Unenforcable credit agreement. They need to be able to provide you with a signed copy of your credit agreement. If they cannot, the debt is unenforcable.

:) Happy to help
