Lying on credit card applications
« on: Jun 03, 2017, 12:55:43 PM »
Hi people, over the past couple of years I have taken out 3 credit cards, I put on the applications that I was employed, but I was really unemployed. The debts have now got a bit out of hand and I am thinking about entering a debt management plan. My question is can I get in much trouble for lying about my employment status on the applications?

Thanks in advance

Fraudulent transactions like this can survive Bankruptcy but as you are considering a DMP where creditors are normally paid back in full then the fraud would seem to be academic.

You should tell everything. If you got catch there then it would be much difficult for your to handle the situation.
