setting aside statutory demand
« on: Dec 04, 2015, 08:21:24 PM »
statutory demand has been served and I have lodged the paperwork to apply to have the demand set aside  with the court. The court have now notified me of a hearing date for the set aside application to be heard.
I cannot find anywhere whether there are any costs involved with the application or the court hearing. I have not been asked to pay anything yet
Can anyone tell me what the position re costs is ? The solicitor acting who sent out the stat demand actually put the wrong court details on it and i spent half a day taking the papers to apply for the set aside first to the court detailed on the documents and then to the correct court which involved both time, lost wages and train fares. I am more concerned with being hit with a huge court bill for the other sides solicitor attending etc particularly if my application is unsuccessful - would any such costs be wiped out if bankruptcy followed ?
