balance transfer for credit card?
« on: Aug 05, 2013, 11:44:09 AM »
Hi all, I declared myself bankrupt in 2009 after losing my employment. Post BR I was accepted for a Vanquis credit card which I have used only when really needed. I have noticed that my payments of £80 pm are only paying the interest, at the moment I cant afford to pay any extra as im on maternity. Does anyone know if there is a card I can transfer the balance to so that im paying off the balance rather than just the interest?.

I got automatic early discharge from my BR in April 2010, BR was Nov 2009 so is still on my file.

Any advice greatly appreciated x

Hi lyndsey666

Unfortunately I think you are going to struggle to get another card. As far as I am aware the Vanquish card is pretty much the only one available to people with a poor credit rating. As such I think you are going to have to sit it out I am afraid until you can afford to pay more each month.

I am suggesting you that you have to change the bank or credit card. This one in expensive and rates are also high . the good way is to come back one step.
