Are there Time Limitations on Trustee Appointments?
« on: Dec 20, 2012, 10:02:33 AM »
Are there any experienced OR Insolvency Officers out there?  I was made bankrupt in March 2009 and discharged after 12 months. Soon after the Order, my affairs were transferred from the OR to a private Trustee.  On my original information questionnaire I declared a small freehold property asset.  Since that declaration, I have never been contacted about it nor asked for further details by either the OR or my Trustee. Therefore, it has never been dealt with by either and no restriction has been placed upon it.
I understand that this asset (it is not my home) remains in my bankruptcy?  So 2 questions. Firstly, is there a time limitation imposed on the OR or my Trustee to deal with it?  And, secondly, what practical solutions to such 'forgotten assets' have been known to have been employed in the past by the OR?
