Dealing with Debt / Re: DRO

The terms of your existing tenancy agreement will say whether you can be evicted due to a DRO but I would find that unlikely.  Getting a new lease with a different landlord may be a problem if you have a DRO as they might do credit checks and be put off.

You may need to use a private landlord who doesn't do the checks or is more accommodating, or get someone to be a guarantor for you.

Make sure you have taken advice that a DRO is the right option for you before you sign up.
Dealing with Debt / DRO

Hello, I am thinking of taking a debt relief Order, as struggle with mental health, financial issues and health. If I take a DRO can my landlord evict me if he wants too? I live with my wife and we rent. Also in future will it stop us renting somewhere new?

does anyone else live in their overdraft and are now completely crippled by the daily fee of £1.35 (or thereabouts depending on your balance owed) which actually takes you over your overdraft when your pathetic minimum wage goes in at end of the month half of it is gone before it even goes in?????

Bankruptcy / Re: Our house after bankruptcy

I'm not sure what that is referring to - it doesn't sound like the standard Bankruptcy restriction - does it go on to say more?

Your conveyancing solicitor should be able to explain and get this sorted for you.
Bankruptcy / Our house after bankruptcy

Hi, it's my first time posting so hope I'm doing it right ?.

We were made bankrupt 8 years ago. At the time our house was in negative equity. The official receiver sold the beneficial interest to my father in law for £1.

We are in the process of selling our house at the.moment but I've noticed on the land registry that there is a restriction that says

No disposition by a sole proprietor of the registered estate (except a trust corporation) under which capital money arises is to be registered unless authorised by an order of the court.’

Does anyone know if this.means we can't sell the house?  We did receive a letter at the time stating that the official receiver has no interest in the house and that bankruptcy restrictions were taken off the land registry.

Yes, they admit it was an error and have changed it.

No offer of compensation though.

Other than the compensation, are they correcting the record?

I have been refused compensation of the incorrect default date on my credit file.

They claim its because I haven't suffered any financial crap etc etc.

However under data protection act 1998 principle 4 all data must be accurate and up to date.
